At Peninsula Crossing Animal Hospital, we understand how important it is to keep your furry family members healthy and happy. That's why we offer a wide range of wellness services for both puppies and kittens, and dogs and cats.

We recommend that all pets have at least one wellness exam per year, so we can catch any potential health problems early on. Wellness exams include a comprehensive physical examination, as well as vaccinations and routine testing for parasites. During a regular checkup, we will assess your pet's weight and overall health, and update you on any changes that we have noticed since their last visit. We also offer diagnostic testing and other services as needed.

Whether your pet is due for their annual wellness exam or you just have a few questions, our friendly staff is always here to help.

Spay and Neuter

At Peninsula Crossing Animal Hospital, we provide spaying and neutering services for dogs and cats. Spaying is a procedure whereby the ovaries and uterus are removed, and it is typically performed when a female is around six months old. Neutering is a similar procedure, but it involves removing the male's testicles.

Both procedures prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens, and they also have a number of health benefits. For example, spayed and neutered animals are less likely to roam, which reduces their risk of being hit by a car or getting into fights with other animals. In addition, spaying helps to reduce the risk of mammary cancer, while neutering reduces the risk of testicular cancer.

As veterinarian professionals, we believe that spaying and neutering is in the best interest of both puppies and kittens, and we are committed to providing these services at our clinic.

Immunizations, Vaccinations and Booster Shots

Pets can be the best part of our lives, and preventative care like vaccination is key to keeping them protected from disease. In addition to vaccination being important for your pet's health and wellbeing, up-to-date immunizations may also be required for boarding and travel.
